Let's #MeditateEveryDay

As I was sliding headfirst into my 30th birthday I tried to think of something that I could do that would make me feel the way that you want to feel around a big "milestone" birthday: grounded, centered, stable, energized, healthy, confident, clear on what I want, you know, all those things.

After racking my brain of what I could do that would make me feel this way, I realized the answer was right in front of me, I should meditate every single day of my 30th year. All I am looking for is a minimum of 5 minutes each day, but my goal will be to aim for about 20 minutes a day.

Does this sound insane to you? Good, me too. Do you already need more time in the day? Yeah, me too. But it reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, an old zen adage:

“You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day, unless you're too busy; then you should sit for an hour.”
